Passengers scheduled to travel are advised not to come to the airport, as there are no flights and no on-site customer service available. On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Pedestrian Bridge/Crosswalk 2, which has been out of service, and Crosswalk 6 will open, and Pedestrian Bridge/Crosswalk 5 and Crosswalk 1 will close.

The Lee County Port Authority offers seasonal employment opportunities as Customer Service Ambassadors, also known as Red Vests. The airport looks for highly motivated, energetic people to direct passengers to the appropriate security checkpoint line and answer passenger questions related to security, airport and airline operations. These are temporary, part-time positions. Intense, fast-moving, highly visible, dynamic airport environment that requires heavy interaction with the public, airport stakeholders and tenants.
