AIRPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT

POLICE OFFICER: $19.06 hourly. Professional and highly responsible Florida certified sworn officer position involved in the enforcement of laws, safety, security and related duties inherent in the protection of Lee County Port Authority property, facilities, personnel and the general public. Must have the ability to work independently and communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. Must possess exceptional customer service skills. Position requires shift work, 84 hours bi-weekly. High school diploma/GED required; Applicants must have Florida CJSTC, Basic Law Enforcement Officers Recruit Academy or equivalency. Must not have been convicted of any felony or a misdemeanor, involving perjury or false statement, nor have received a dishonorable or undesirable discharge from any of the armed forces of the United States.   • Apply in Person: Southwest Florida International Airport, Human Resources. Enter the terminal on the 2nd level. Follow the signs for concourse C (located past the ticket counters) through either the East or West Atrium (doors 2 and 5). Directly across from the entrance to Concourse C between the PGA Tour Shop and Quiznos Subs - is an alcove with two elevators. Take either elevator to level 3. The receptionist will direct you to the Human Resources department.

 

The Port Authority only accepts applications when a position is posted, unless you are applying for a Police Officer position. Applications will be forwarded to the department after the close of a posted position.
